Dear Friends,
Horatius Bonar noted, “In order to grow in grace, we must be much alone. It is not in society that the soul grows most vigorously. In one single quiet hour of prayer it will often make more progress than in days of company with others. It is in the desert that the dew falls freshest and the air its purest.”
1. THE CHARLIE KIRK REVIVAL CONTINUES: Some church leaders are reporting a 15% increase in attendance, following Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Many are calling the surge the “Charlie Kirk Effect.”
Calvary Chapel Chino Hills Pastor Jack Hibbs said, “People are coming to us, and they are saying, ‘I want to know the meaning of life, the purpose. Why am I here?’”
Communio President JP De Gance said Kirk’s assassination at age 31 is causing young people to return to Christ and church. He added, “I think that causes people to ask, ‘What am I living for right now?’”
The Family Research Council’s David Closson remarked, “Even before the assassination of Charlie Kirk, research showed that Gen Z was experiencing a sort of spiritual renewal.”
William Wolfe, executive director of the Center for Baptist Leadership, remarked, “Charlie Kirk started a political movement, but he ended it as a Christian movement… I think Charlie Kirk made it cool to be Christian again. That’s not our goal, but Charlie Kirk made it reasonable. He defended the faith.”
Businessman and author Barry Meguiar commented, “We’ve been praying, ‘God, we need revival. We need something to shake up America.’” This is a moment. If we lose this moment, shame on us.”
Just one week before his death, Charlie Kirk posted, “There is revival in the Christian church. Churches are growing. Young people are flocking to faith in God.”
2. U.S. GOVERNMENT SHUTS DOWN: The U.S. government entered a shutdown at midnight Wednesday, after Democrats refused to support a short-term Continuing Resolution through November 21, and demanded Republicans provide $1.5 trillion in new spending for abortions, transgender surgeries, healthcare for illegals, and more.
Vice President JD Vance explained, “The Chuck Schumer/AOC wing of the Democratic Party shut down the government because they said to us, ‘We will open the government, but only if you give billions of dollars of funding for healthcare for illegal aliens.’”
Ahead of the shutdown, OMB Director Russ Vought warned the administration would roll out mass layoffs during a shutdown. Thus far, Vought has terminated nearly $8 billion in green energy deals in 16 blue states, and has frozen $18 billion in New York City infrastructure.
On Thursday, Trump met with Vought “to determine which of the many Democrat Agencies, most of which are a political SCAM, he recommends to be cut, and whether or not those cuts will be temporary or permanent.”
Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon said the shutdown is about “deconstructing the administrative state that gets in everyone’s business and thwarts your ability to thrive and be free.”
3. ANARCHY REIGNS IN PORTLAND: In Portland, reporter Katie Daviscourt was struck in the face with a flagpole by a female Antifa/anti-ICE protestor carrying a Palestinian flag. Daviscourt related, “I’ve been covering Portland since June 7th, and it has been completely taken over by anarchists, Antifa-affiliated domestic terrorists now, and police refuse to come in… Police Chief Day said that the National Guard is not needed, the Trump administration does not need to come in. But then, when I go and hunt down the suspects who assaulted me, police officers are standing there, refusing to help me.”
Journalist Nick Sortor was arrested by Portland police for “disorderly conduct” after being targeted by an Antifa agitator. AG Pam Bondi responded by officially ordering an investigation into the Portland police department.
The Federalist CEO Sean Davis commented, “The Portland Police Department…is the uniformed and armed branch of Antifa. Everyone now sees it, and it explains why the Portland Police constantly runs interference for violent Antifa terrorists.”
Trump and War Secretary Pete Hegseth have begun deploying National Guard units to the area. Oregon Democratic mayors, including Portland mayor Keith Wilson, drafted a letter “ denouncing any attempt to federally militarize the Portland metro area.”
4. HEGSETH ADDRESSES MILITARY LEADERS: War Secretary Pete Hegseth announced 10 new directives and a shift from “woke” to “warrior” culture in his address to America’s 800 top military leaders at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia.
Hegseth declared, “From this moment forward, the only mission of the newly restored Department of War is this: warfighting, preparing for war, and preparing to win. Not because we want war. No one here wants war, but it’s because we love peace. We love peace for our fellow citizens. They deserve peace, and they rightfully expect us to deliver it.”
Hegseth said all physical standards “must be high and gender neutral,” with no standards lowered for women or “weak men.” He said, “Frankly, it’s tiring to look out at combat formations – and frankly any formations – and see fat troops. It’s unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon, and leading all around the world. It’s a bad look, and it’s not who we are!”
He declared, “No more identity months, DEI offices, dudes in dresses. No more climate change worship, no more division, distraction, or gender delusions… We are done with that…”
Hegseth mandated a return to strict grooming standards and said, “When you let the small stuff go, the big stuff eventually goes. So, you have to address the small stuff.”
President Trump affirmed, “I am with you. I support you. I have your backs 100%. We’re going to make our military stronger, tougher, faster, fiercer than it has ever been before.”
5. POPE EMBRACES CLIMATE AGENDA, PRAISES PRO-ABORTION SENATOR: At the tenth annual Laudato Si climate summit, founded by Pope Francis, Pope Leo XIV blessed a block of ice from Greenland, and urged the United Nations to “listen to the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor.”
Following the conference, Leo supported the “lifetime achievement award” given by Cardinal Blase Cupich to pro-abortion Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL). The Pope remarked, “Someone who says ‘I’m against abortion but says I am in favor of the death penalty´ is not really pro-life. Someone who says that ‘I’m against abortion, but I’m in agreement with the inhuman treatment of immigrants in the United States,’ I don´t know if that´s pro-life.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt pushed back: “I would reject there is inhumane treatment of illegal immigrants in the United States under this administration; there was, however, significant, inhumane treatment of illegal immigrants in the previous administration as they were being trafficked and raped and beaten and in many cases, killed over our United States southern border.”
Steve Deace reacted, “So if you’re keeping score in a cesspool, the new pope appears to have nothing to say about the first martyr from his home country in 60 years [Charlie Kirk], but he’s out there blessing blocks of ice in order to advance something called ‘climate justice.’”
Conservative Catholic commentator Matt Walsh wrote, “Horrific. The whole thing. Pope Leo blesses a block of ice and then stands there while these communist freaks do some kind of weird pagan Earth-worshipping hippy ritual.”
6. BILL MAHER ASKS WHY MEDIA, ACTIVISTS, IGNORE CHRISTIANS SLAUGHTERED IN NIGERIA: On his “Real Time” show, Bill Maher stated, “I’m not a Christian, but they are systematically killing the Christians in Nigeria. They’ve killed over 100,000 since 2009. They’ve burned 18,000 churches. This is so much more. These are the Islamists, Boko Haram.”
Maher continued, “This is so much more of a genocide attempt than what is going on in Gaza. They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country. Where are the kids protesting this?… Well, because the Jews aren’t involved. That’s why. It’s the Christians and the Muslims – who cares?”
7. SWITZERLAND, UK, EXPAND DIGITAL ID: Swiss voters narrowly approved a government scheme to implement digital ID nationwide. Breitbart explained, “The IDs, which will function as a smartphone app, will be used to access government services, provide age verification, and enable virtual transactions, such as opening a bank account or starting a mobile phone contract.”
Meanwhile, the British government announced it will soon mandate digital ID, with globalist former PM Tony Blair claiming the move will improve immigration enforcement. PM Keir Starmer vowed, “This government will make a new, free-of-charge digital ID mandatory for the right to work by the end of this parliament… You will not be able to work in the United Kingdom if you do not have digital ID.”
Blair is lobbying to award lucrative contracts to Oracle CEO Larry Ellison, a top funder of Blair’s Institute for Global Change. Last month, Ellison stated, “Citizens will be on their best behavior because we’re constantly watching and recording everything that’s going on.” In February, Ellison told Blair that the U.S. and all nations should “unify all the national data and then feed it to AI.”
8. MORE WARNINGS AGAINST DIGITAL ID: Controligarch’s author Seamus Bruner said, “All attempts to roll out digital ID follow a familiar pattern: corporate and political elites wield crises – such as mass migration, crime, or tech disruptions – as a pretext to expand their control…over private citizens’ identities, finances and movements into a suffocating regime. Once rolled out, these systems expand quietly, shifting from access tools to enforcement mechanisms. Yesterday, it was vaccine passports and lockdowns; tomorrow, it is 15-minute cities and the ‘universal basic income’ dependency trap. ‘Voluntary’ today becomes mandatory tomorrow.”
Glenn Beck warned, “Digital ID monitors not just your citizenship, but your healthcare, wearable devices, insurance, financial services, ecommerce, travel, social media, third-party services, taxes, voting, telecommunications…basically every aspect of your life. Add in a digital currency and the government will have COMPLETE CONTROL over you.”
Activist Twila Brase asserted that the Real ID system promoted by the Trump and Biden administrations “is really a national ID system for America, currently disguised as a state driver’s license with a star.”
Alex Newman said the digital public infrastructure promoted by Bill Gates and the United Nations “will end up in total control of every facet of your life.”

9. TRUMP ANNOUNCES NEW DEAL WITH PFIZER: During a press conference, President Trump and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla announced a deal to lower Pfizer’s drug prices and invest $70 billion in American manufacturing. Additionally, Trump launched a new platform, TrumpRx.com, to help patients secure lower drug prices, in line with Trump’s May 12 executive order.
Biotech analyst Karen Kingston assessed, “Unless Americans restore their health with good nutrition, exercise, and other healthy habits, and stop relying on the BioPharma industry for drugs and vaccines, the BioPharma giants aren’t going to go anywhere.” Kingston warned that 80% of American drugs come from China and noted, “I’d much prefer US BioPharma companies manufactured their drugs and conduct their research in the United States and not in foreign nations, specifically those that have declared Americans their enemies.”
Children’s Health Defense CEO Mary Holland warned, “The failure to provide any details of the U.S.-Pfizer pricing and tariff exemption deal is even more egregious in light of Pfizer’s long record of past criminal conduct and its knowing role in producing mRNA gene therapies, marketed as vaccines, that caused thousands of deaths and injuries.”
10. ISLAMIC JIHAD ROLLS ON: A Syrian-born Muslim named Jihad Al-Shamie was killed after stabbing to death two Jews and seriously wounding four, after driving his car into a crowd outside a synagogue in Manchester, England. The RAIR Foundation reported, “The irony of his name – Jihad – is not lost. He represents the grim reality that imported jihadis have merged with Britain’s homegrown Muslim failures, producing an unending cycle of Islamic terror.” At the time of the attack, Jihad was out on bail for an alleged rape.
Following the attack, a large pro-Palestinian crowd protested outside PM Keir Starmer’s 10 Downing Street residence, chanting, “The people united will never be defeated.”
Hamas Gaza leader Izz al-Din Haddad said he rejects the 20-point plan proposed by President Trump, Israeli PM Netanyahu, and other Muslim leaders. In August, Hamas leader Ghazi Hamad boasted that October 7 “brought the Palestinian cause back” and prompted countries to recognize a Palestinian state.
San Diego Imam Uthman ibn Farooq declared, “The future is ours; every EDL nightmare of a Muslim Europe will come true. They can get mad if they want, I don’t care. America will be a Muslim country, Russia will be a Muslim country, but we have to be part of that change.”
Dr. Taylor Marshall said it is now “mathematically impossible” for Europeans to reverse their birth rates and stated, “I hate to say this, but Islam will run Europe in our lifetime. It’s simple math. The European politicians know it to be true, and they are accommodating for Muslim rule. Canada also.”
Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) is seeking answers after Christian pastor Tom Ascol was blocked from entering the chapel during a Muslim prayer service at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).

HYMN OF THE WEEK
Be Still by William Ebel
Oh, be still, thou soul of mine,
Thou art not forsaken!
Though the pow’rs of sin may rage,
Thou shalt be unshaken.
He who gave His life for thee,
Thus permits that thou should be,
For thy good, as thou shalt see,
Tempted for a season.
Be courageous, firm, and true,
When life’s battle’s waging.
Oh, be still, my soul, and rest,
When the tempest’s raging!
He who doth our sorrows share,
In His love and tender care,
Trials more than thou can bear
Will not let thee suffer!
Why should thou so fearful be,
At the tempter’s roaring?
Simply trust in God alone,
Satan’s wrath ignoring.
See God’s tenderness, and prove
With the sainted hosts above,
His unfailing, wondrous love,
Ever for thee caring!
Yes, dear Lord, I will be still!
I will trust Thee ever!
I’ll submit to all Thy will,
Cling to Thee forever.
Lord, Thou knowest what is best!
Confident in this I’ll rest,
Till I dwell with all the blest,
And with Thee in heaven.
