Dear Friend,
Psalm 37 provides a prescient perspective for today, one that Christians cannot miss. “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity, for they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord.” Elsewhere, Psalm 10:16 reminds us that “The Lord is King for ever and ever.” Ephesians 6 declares that our battle is not “against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
These realities remind us as Christians of our courageous duty to our King. Yes, there will always be temporal uncertainty (especially today), but if we know and serve Christ, we can rest assured that He placed us here “for such a time as this.”
1. INSIDE THE GAMESTOP DEBACLE: Frustrated by large institutional investors who had long rigged the stock market for their benefit, a group of Reddit investors coordinated to drive up the price of GameStop, a failing company that had been shorted by large institutional investors. Issues and Insights reports that “GameStop could be bought for $19 a share on the first day of trading, Jan. 4, of this year. It closed above $325 a share on Friday. Those who shorted the stock on Jan. 4 now face a $311 a share loss on their investment.”
In response, former SEC Commissioner Laura Unger described the small-investor Redditor group as “Not unlike what we saw on Jan. 6 on the Capitol. If you don’t have the police in there at the right time, things go a little crazy.” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has called for hearings, while Senate Finance Committee Chair Elizabeth Warren wants an SEC investigation. Numerous online trading platforms, including Robinhood, swiftly shut down trading on GameStop, resulting in a drop in price, and massive losses for the Reddit investors.
2. RUSH LIMBAUGH ON GAMESTOP: Rush Limbaugh summed up GameStop this way: “They’re shutting down trades in GameStop in order to protect the elites. Folks, it’s not some obscure thing involving what young kids are doing…The teachable moment here is how this censorship that we are experiencing from tech media, the tech oligarchs, is not contained to your political thoughts. It’s not limited to who you vote for and who your political friends and enemies are. No, no, no. It extends to money: How you earn it, how much you earn, how much you’re not permitted to earn.”
3. JOSH HAWLEY VS. CANCEL CULTURE: After objecting to the electoral college certification, Senator Josh Hawley’s campaign brought in almost $1 million, with the average donation amount being $52. In a recent interview with Mark Levin, Hawley stated, “I think what we’re seeing now is an attempt by the left to lie about our motivations, to lie about our actions in order to grab power. They want to silence dissent. They want to silence me. And I tell you right now, I am not going to back down before a liberal mob.” MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough recently claimed of Josh Hawley, “He’s a seditionist. He led an insurrection. He’s responsible for cops being murdered…He should be kicked out of the United States Senate.” Likewise, AOC accused Texas Senator Ted Cruz of “trying to get me killed” over the electoral certification.
4. GUN SALES AND GUN BILLS: January 2021 gun sales witnessed a massive increase from January 2020 sales, with some figures reporting between a 60% and 75% increase, leading one gun store owner to remark, “I’ve never seen anything like this.” At the same time, the new H.R. 127 would require psychological evaluations for gun owners, registration of every gun, and a ban on all ammo over .50 caliber. Severe penalties would include up to $100,000 fines and 20 years in prison
5. JEFF BEZOS LEAVES AMAZON: Jeff Bezos is stepping down as CEO of Amazon, the company he founded in 1994. Bezos will be replaced by Andy Jassy, who joined the company in 1997 and launched its most successful division, Amazon Web Services (AWS). “As Executive Chair, I will stay engaged in important Amazon initiatives but also have the time and energy I need to focus on the Day 1 Fund, the Bezos Earth Fund, Blue Origin, The Washington Post, and my other passions,” Bezos told Amazon employees. Bezos joins other globalist tech CEOs like Bill Gates (Microsoft) and Eric Schmidt (Google), who left their companies to devote more time to globalism masquerading as philanthropism.
6. HEALTH RISKS OF MASKS AND COVID VACCINES CONFIRMED: A recent study published in Cancer Discovery, a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research, states that inhaling harmful microbes can lead to advanced lung cancer. Some believe these microbes can be bred by long-term mask-wearing. In related news, the World Health Organization recommends that most pregnant women not take the Moderna and Pfizer Covid vaccines.
7. SCHWAB AND GATES ON COVID: Covid-19 response was a significant theme of the recent January Davos Agenda. Globalist Klaus Schwab claims that universal cooperation and vaccination hold the key to overcoming Covid. Schwab declared, “As long as not everybody is vaccinated, nobody will be safe.” Bill Gates has outlined his plan for “preventing” future outbreaks. “When it comes to preventing pandemics, scientific tools alone aren’t enough. We also need new capabilities, including a global alert system and infectious disease first responders (or what I like to call a pandemic fire squad).”
8. WAR ON “DOMESTIC TERRORISM” CONTINUES: New U.S. Secretary of Defense Loyd Austin has ordered a 60-day “stand-down” to address supposed “white supremacism and extremism” within the U.S. military. Following the lead of far-left New Democrat leader Jagmeet Singh, Canada’s government has designated the Proud Boys and 12 other groups as “terrorist entities,” in the same category as the Islamic State. Hillary Clinton said that U.S. Representative Marjorie Greene should be removed from Congress and put on a terror watch list. Surprisingly, one “conservative” outlet, the Washington Examiner, published a column promoting the flawed narrative, entitled, “How to Fix Our Domestic Terrorist Problem.” In his New York Times op-ed, “How to Defeat America’s Homegrown Insurgency,” Former CIA counterterrorism chief Robert Grenier grouped together “the Proud Boys, the Three Percenters, the Oath Keepers, ‘Christian’ national chauvinists, white supremacists, and QAnon fantasists” and claimed they are all “committed to violent extremism” and need to be “defeated.”
9. UK BILL WOULD AUTHORIZE CHILDREN TO REPORT THEIR OWN PARENTS: If passed into law, the U.K.’s Covert Human Intelligence Source (CHIS) Bill would allow 22 state agencies to recruit children as “covert human intelligence sources” — spies, essentially. “Once you start taking action like this to put spies in people’s homes whatever the purpose, this does have complications. It is very important for Government to recognise that this is not something that should be easily done in a democratic state,” warned Sir Iain Duncan Smith, a former Conservative party leader and Cabinet minister.
10. BILL GATES COMPLAINS ABOUT “CONSPIRACY THEORIES”: Bill Gates recently complained, “Nobody would have predicted that I and Dr. Fauci would be so prominent in really kind of evil theories about – did we create the pandemic, are we trying to profit from it?” Gates added, “I’m very surprised by that…I hope it goes away.” A Peruvian court declared that Covid-19 was “created by a criminal elite that rules the world,” including “Bill Gates, Soros, Rockefeller, and others, who handled it and continue to do so with extreme secrecy within their environments and global corporations.”
11. GRETA THUNBERG EXPOSED: It seems that Swedish “Climate Activist” Greta Thunberg is simply a pawn of the globalist elite. Recently, Thunberg accidentally tweeted and then deleted a Twitter post showing that she is instructed on what to post and what to like. At the recent Davos Agenda, Thunberg advocated a radical climate change agenda to be implemented immediately. She said, “I am only here to once again remind you of the emergency we’re in. The crisis that you and your predecessors have created and inflicted upon us. The crisis that you continue to ignore.”
12. BIDEN BENEFITING CHINA: Gordan Chang, a Senior Fellow at the Gatestone Institute, notes that Biden’s administration has already made numerous moves benefiting China. These include rejoining the CCP-controlled World Health Organization, canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline, rejoining the Paris Climate Accords, and repealing a ban on Chinese equipment in the U.S. electrical grid. According to Chang, “Analysts say Beijing is testing Biden. Yes, but so far, the Chinese do not need to lift a finger. The new president is giving them what they want, and they are not even having to ask.”
13. MARJORIE GREEN STANDS UP: Freshman Representative Marjorie Taylor Green is facing severe pushback from the establishment after declaring war on the swamp and introducing articles of impeachment against Joe Biden. The House voted to remove Green from the House Budget Committee and the House Education and Labor Committee, with all Democrats and 11 Republicans voting in favor of the resolution. In a recent Twitter post, Green wrote, “Yes, there is an enemy within. And that enemy is a poisonous rot of socialist policies and America-last sell outs who are pompous hypocrites that believe they are untouchable elites.”
14. PEOPLE ARE NOT BUYING LIES IN GOVERNMENT, MEDIA, AND HEALTH: It’s no wonder that Klaus Schwab recently stated that building trust is critical to advancing the global agenda. Consider the following positive developments.
- The first week of Biden’s inauguration saw CNN’s viewership down 20% and MSNBC’s down 44%.
- Many World Economic Forum Davos Agenda videos have garnered more dislikes than likes.
- Biden’s YouTube speeches consistently saw more dislikes than likes, until YouTube edited the likes in a way that one commenter said was reminiscent of Dominion switching votes.
- American’s trust in the media has slumped to 46%, while trust in social media reached 27%.
- The U.K., while recording the number of those who take the Covid vaccine, has declined to publish the number of those who refused, likely due to high refusal rates.
- Eastern Oregon counties want to join Idaho, while Colorado’s Weld County wants to join Wyoming.
- A Texas lawmaker has introduced a proposal to consider a possible “Texit.”
- Ron DeSantis is spearheading a pushback against Big Tech, with legislation that would include $100,000 per day levied on tech companies that suspend candidates for elected office in Florida from their platforms.
- A group of Canadian small businesses planning to open en masse despite lockdowns.
