I Peter 3:12 says, “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.” Every day, news headlines reveal new signs of God’s judgment on our once great nation, including (sadly) many who profess to be Christians. Amid this judgment, those who reject God should be terrified, but those who love Him can take comfort knowing that He hears their prayers, and that not one act of faithfulness escapes His loving eyes.
1. MCCARTHY BECOMES SPEAKER, AS CONSERVATIVES WIN MAJOR CONCESSIONS: On the 15th round of balloting, Kevin McCarthy became Speaker of the House, with the six last GOP holdouts voting “present” in order to allow his election. One senior congressional aid said, “It’s the most significant win for conservatives in a decade, possibly the biggest in a generation…they just achieved more in the last week than any other group of conservatives has in years. They knew the power of their vote, and they held together until they negotiated an acceptable agreement.”
Following is a list of the key concessions:
1. It will only take a single congressperson, acting in what is known as a Jeffersonian Motion, to move to remove the Speaker if he or she goes back on their word or policy agenda.
2. A ‘Church’-style committee will be convened to look into the weaponization of the FBI and other government organizations against the American people.
3. Term limits will be put up for a vote.
4. Bills presented to Congress will be single subject, not omnibus with all the attendant earmarks, and there will be a 72-hour minimum period to read them.
5. The Texas Border Plan will be put before Congress.
6. COVID mandates will be ended, as will all funding for them, including so-called emergency funding.
7. Budget bills would stop the endless increases in the debt ceiling and hold the Senate accountable for the same.
Leftists, including the Communist Party USA, are livid, comparing the new Committee on the Weaponization of Federal Government headed by Jim Jordan (R-OH) to the previous House Un-American Activities Committee, which was successfully disbanded in 1975 following Communist pressure.

Note: While Kevin McCarthy has a proven track record of sabotaging America First policies (see here), the terms of the deal (enforced by the ability to remove McCarthy if he reneges) will make it very difficult for him to betray conservatives as he has in the past. Thanks to the courage of 20 House members, patriots will have a fighting chance to expose the Biden regime’s corruption and block some of Biden’s worst initiatives. But as Adam Mill rightly notes, “If Republicans don’t find a way to fight for their party’s right to fully and fairly participate in elections, this Republican speaker may be the last.”
2. BIDEN REGIME PROMOTES SHAM JANUARY 6 NARRATIVE: The Biden regime used the second anniversary of January 6, 2021, to sow lies and reward individuals who helped advance its “insurrection” narrative. Georgia election worker Ruby Freeman, who was caught on tape along with another election worker pulling out stacks of ballots from beneath a table after poll workers were told they had quit for the night and then scanning and rescanning them into an election computer, was one of 12 Americans awarded the Presidential Citizens Medal. Biden and the media repeated the false claim that “Five police officers were killed by Trump supporters on January 6.”
A new poll finds that 58% of Democrats say the criminal charges against January 6 protestors have not been harsh enough, and 76% say that January 6 will impact the way they vote in 2024.
3. BRAZIL USES RIOTS TO CRACK DOWN ON DISSENT: Hundreds of outraged Brazilian protestors stormed empty government buildings, following the election of Communist and convicted criminal Lula in what many have called a fraudulent election. Bolsonaro, who is currently staying in Florida, condemned the violence. Almost 1,000 political prisoners were sent to the Federal Prisons in Brasilia and vaccinated with Covid shots (likely forcibly) upon their arrival. Leftist lawyers have asked Brazil’s corrupt Supreme Court to prevent a number of Conservatives from taking office. American journalist Glenn Greenwald, who lives in Brazil, asked: “Has there ever been a modern democracy where a single judge exercises the power that (Chief Justice) Alexandre de Moraes has in Brazil? I can’t think of any examples even close.”
Lula and the Minister of Justice were reportedly warned of the attacks beforehand, but did nothing. Lula declared, “All these people who did this will be found, and they will be punished.” He began his speech by denouncing the “fascists,” “vandals,” “nazis, Stalinists… No, not Stalinists, the fascists!”
The American media, which ignored Brazil’s massive, historic protests for over two months, seized the event as a tool to discredit “far-right extremists” and swiftly drew comparisons to the so-called January 6 “insurrection.” The Council on Foreign Relations said, “January 6 seemingly provided a model for the protestors.” At least 45 Democratic lawmakers, including Marxists AOC and Rep. Joaquin Castro, are demanding that the Biden regime return Bolsonaro to Brazil, where he would most likely be prosecuted by the Lula regime: Castro said, “The United States should not be a refuge for this authoritarian who has inspired domestic terrorism in Brazil. He should be sent back to Brazil.”
4. SUPREME COURT REJECTS TWO IMPORTANT ELECTION CASES: The “conservative” U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear two important election integrity cases. The Bonner case challenged the legality of mail-in ballots, while the Brunson brothers case sued all 388 U.S. Senators, Representatives, and officials who certified the 2020 election without looking into credible allegations of election fraud.
The Georgia Record reports, “Today’s denial is not necessarily the end of the case. The Brunson brothers can choose to Petition the Court for Reconsideration…Meanwhile, the Supreme Court continues to receive 10,000’s of letters from people across the country, stating their support for the case and asking that SCOTUS accept the case for hearing.”
5. WHO POWER GRAB: The World Health Organization met on January 9-13 to discuss proposed amendments to a “Pandemic Treaty.” Researcher James Roguski warns, “The proposed amendments would make the WHO’s proclamations legally-binding rather than just advisory recommendations. The changes would institute global digital health certificates, dramatically increase the billions of dollars available to the WHO and enable nations to implement the regulations without respect for the dignity, human rights, and fundamental freedoms of people.”
6. “SUDDEN DEATHS” ON THE RISE: Former White House advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci blasted any who suggested that NFL player Damar Hamlin’s collapse could have been connected to the Covid shot, calling the idea “yet again another conspiracy theory, complete nonsense, [that] is going to have some people make a decision for themselves and their family not to get vaccinated which may cost them their lives.” A newly released study finds that 17% of mostly male teenagers who received the Pfizer Covid-19 mRNA injection experienced heart problems after their second dose.

- Armed Forces Press reports, “[21-year-old] Hunter Brown, a United States Air Force Academy cadet and member of the intercollegiate football team, died of a cardiac arrest while walking to class.”
- 17-year-old Jordan Brister of Las Vegas died “suddenly and unexpectedly” from a cardiac arrest at school.
- The Blaze reports, “Mixed martial arts phenom Victoria Lee has died suddenly at age 18, according to her family.”
- 54-year-old Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley, died following a cardiac arrest.
- Ed. Note: It’s incredibly tragic that our elites are willing to sacrifice human lives in order to advance their agendas.
7. MORE PROOF OF COVID CENSORSHIP EMERGES: Recently released emails reveal that Dr. Scott Gottlieb, current Pfizer board member and FDA commissioner for two years under Trump, pushed Twitter to censor Covid “misinformation,” including a post that called natural immunity superior to Covid vaccinations. Other emails reveal that the White House lobbied Facebook and Twitter to ban Tucker Carlson and RFK, Jr. for questioning Covid vaccines. The Daily Clout reports, “Something strange is going on with the VAERS system. Reports that were present three months ago are now inexplicably missing. And fewer than 4% of adverse events recorded in V-Safe [the CDC’s app] have made their way to VAERS.” Experts have estimated that the VAERS system only accounts for around 1% of all vaccine injuries.

8. BILL GATES WANTS MRNA FOOD AND ANOTHER “PANDEMIC”: Bill Gates says that animals need to be vaccinated with mRNA “vaccines” in order to “fix” their genetics. In a recent interview, Gates said that when the next “pandemic” arrives, “we’ll have…factories that are able to produce [vaccines] far faster, and so just in months you should be able to make enough for the world.
9. CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS FOUND AT BIDEN’S RESIDENCE: The media is seeking to do damage control after classified documents from Biden’s vice presidency were found in Biden’s Delaware home and former office. Attorney General Merrick Garland announced Robert K. Hur, a holdover from the Trump administration, as special counsel. However, Hur was FBI Director Christopher Wray’s former assistant and also previously worked with Deep State Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene warned that the special counsel will impede any GOP efforts to investigate Biden: “And just like that, everything we request will be ‘under investigation’ because of Merrick Garland’s appointed special counsel and unavailable to Republican investigators.”
10. BIDEN, TRUDEAU, AMLO, AND THE NORTH AMERICAN SUPERSTATE: Biden made his first visit to the Southern Border, posing for a picture near a portion of the wall built by Trump. Biden also traveled to Mexico City to meet with leftist Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for the North American Leaders’ Summit. Obrador told Biden, “President Biden, you are the first president of the United States in a very long time that has not built not even one meter of wall and… we thank you for that, sir.” Former Trump advisor Stephen Miller tweeted, “Using even a very conservative estimate of unknown got aways, Biden has released or allowed more illegals into the United States in the last 100 days than the whole population of Montana.”

11. BRIAN KEMP GOES TO DAVOS: Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is among the notable attendees at this year’s World Economic Forum conference in Davos, Switzerland. Leo Hohmann writes, “Some have suggested that Kemp might just be going to Davos to gather information on a fact-finding trip, but I’m not buying it. Kemp has always been a globalist. He has courted the Chinese Communist Party to invest in Georgia, literally making promotional videos on how wonderful it is for Georgia to partner with the Chinese communists in various business ventures. Kemp has also rolled out the red carpet for the ultra-liberal film industry, much of which has relocated from California to avoid the high taxes there and take advantage of Georgia’s relatively cheap Southern labor. And people wonder why Georgia is turning from red to purple.”
The Georgia Record points out that in 2022 “Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced that he was awarding management of Georgia’s voter registration system to a subsidiary of Salesforce.com. Marc Benioff is founder and co-chairman of Salesforce and is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum.”

12. HOW KRISTI NOEM CAVED TO TRANSGENDER LOBBY: In a recent article, “How Gender Ideology Conquered South Dakota,” National Review reported, “Gender ideology seems to have found a safe haven in South Dakota of all places. And it has been welcomed in by the ‘conservative superstar’ governor. The following information is pretty damning, but I’ll let you draw your own conclusions. The largest employer in the state of South Dakota is Sanford Health, and they are in the transgender surgery and treatment money-making business. CALIFORNIA ROLLING OUT DIGITAL LICENSE PLATES AND DIGITAL ID: Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the state will launch a digital ID and driver’s license in “a matter of months” and will “do it like no other state has done it.” Newsom also gave a 1984-style inauguration speech in which he declared, “More than any people, in any place, California has bridged the historical expanse between freedom for some, and freedom for all.” Daniel Greenfield observes, “California is so incredibly free that, like North Korea, Cuba and Venezuela, everyone is running away.”
14. AUTHOR COMMENTS ON AMERICA’S FATHERLESSNESS PANDEMIC: Pastor Kris Vallotton is the author of a new book, Uprising: The Epic Battle for the Most Fatherless Generation in History. Vallotton says, “Fifty-one percent of all children in America right now are born out of wedlock. In 1950, 4% of Americans were born out of wedlock.” Further, “75% of all inmates grew up without a father,” and “63% of all youth suicides come from fatherless homes.” Vallotton believes that fatherlessness is the root cause of gay marriage and transgenderism: “When we embrace gay marriage…what we said is that you can have two mommies and two daddies, because mommies and daddies are interchangeable.”

The Babylon Bee satirically responded, “Austin has officially reversed the COVID vaccine requirement for the military, as it is no longer needed now that all the Conservatives have been weeded out.”

1. STATES PROTECT CHILDREN: One pediatric neurosurgeon recently called so-called gender change surgeries “an extraordinary medical atrocity.” 11 states – Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia – have introduced legislation to ban this barbarous practice.
2. U.S. HOUSE AFFIRMS LIFE: The U.S. House of Representatives passed two important pro-life measures. One condemns abortion activists’ attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers, while the other would legally protect babies born alive after abortion. Abortion survivor Melissa Ohden praised the Born Alive Act: “This has been years in the making…We are just grateful for members of Congress and their leadership showing that, as this legislative session is beginning, pro-life bills are front and center.”
3. IDAHO SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS PRO-LIFE LAWS: The Idaho Supreme Court ruled 3-2 to protect several important state pro-life laws, including the state’s Total Abortion Ban and Six-Week Ban. Justice Robyn Brody wrote, “The relevant history and traditions of Idaho show abortion was viewed as an immoral act and treated as a crime. Thus, we cannot conclude the framers and adopters of the Inalienable Rights clause intended to implicitly protect abortion as a fundamental right.”

DESANTIS DOUBLES DOWN ON CULTURE WARS: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has mandated that state universities report how much they spend on critical race theory (CRT) and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). DeSantis made even greater ripples by appointing six staunchly conservative board members to the Board of Trustees of the liberal New College of Florida, including Matthew Spalding of Hillsdale College and Christopher Rufo, who took the lead in exposing Critical Race Theory in schools. Rufo responded, “We’re recapturing higher education.” DeSantis is also moving forward with plans to dissolve Disney’s special self-governing area, declaring, “Disney will no longer control its own government.”
5. ARIZONA REPS COURAGEOUSLY WALK OUT OF KATIE HOBBS INAUGURAL ADDRESS: A group of Republican legislators walked out of the Arizona House chamber during Katie Hobbs’ inaugural State of the State address. Arizona House Freedom Caucus members said Hobbs’ election was “riddled with violations of Arizona law.” State Senator Jake Hoffman said, “We’re seeing a new breed of Democratic Fascism take hold of the Governor’s Office,” and warned that Hobbs’ radical, woke, leftist agenda “elevates her actions to tyrannical.”
6. SOCCER PLAYER WINS LAWSUIT: 22-year-old Kiersten Hening, a soccer player at Virginia Tech, was awarded $100,000 after winning a lawsuit against her coach. Hening accused coach Charles “Chugger” Adair of harassing her for refusing to kneel in a Black Lives Matter “unity statement” at a September 2020 game.
7. LOUDOUN COUNTY VETERAN ACQUITTED: Founding Freedoms Law reports that military veteran Jon Tigges was acquitted “of a criminal misdemeanor charge of trespassing when he was arrested at the June 22, 2021, Loudoun School Board meeting for remaining in the meeting room to exercise his First Amendment rights after the former Superintendent, Scott Ziegler, demanded that a packed room of parents leave the building.” Tigges said, “I hope this victory only encourages more parents to speak out and get involved to take back their children’s education and reclaim their basic rights.”
8. COVID TRUTH TELLERS SUE “TRUSTED NEWS INITIATIVE”: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dr. Joseph Mercola are among multiple individuals and groups who are leveling an anti-trust lawsuit against the Trusted News Initiative, a corrupt partnership of Big Tech, establishment media, and Big Pharma that colluded during Covid-19 to smear and censor all news that did not align with their narrative. The lawsuit alleges, “While the ‘Trusted News Initiative’ publicly purports to be a self-appointed ‘truth police’ extirpating online ‘misinformation,’ in fact it has suppressed wholly accurate and legitimate reporting in furtherance of the economic self-interest of its members.”

OXFORD REBELS AGAINST 15-MINUTE SMART CITIES: Residents of Oxford, England, have taken to the street to protest the city’s plan to make Oxford a 15-minute SMART city, as promoted by the World Economic Forum. As expected, the media is silent. U.K. journalist Sophie Corcoran writes, “At the end of this week, thousands of the world’s elite will be jetting off to Davos in their private jets, whilst people around the globe are starting to be confined to 15-minute zones in their cities and need a permit to drive over it.”

MISSOURI BILL PROPOSES TREATING GOLD AND SILVER AS MONEY: Schiff Gold reports that the bill, introduced by state Senator William Eigel (R), “would take several steps to encourage the use of gold and silver as money in Missouri, including making it legal tender, eliminating the state capital gains tax on gold and silver, and establishing a state bullion depository…In effect, it would put gold and silver on the same footing as Federal Reserve notes.” Three states – Utah, Wyoming, and Oklahoma have passed similar legislation.
11. DUTCH FARMERS CREATE THEIR OWN POLITICAL PARTY: Since October 2021, Dutch farmers have been protesting their government’s attack on farms. Life Site News reports, “Yet the farmers are winning. They have won concessions from the government, regionally and nationally. The agriculture minister has resigned as a result. Now they have created a political party [the Farmer Citizen Movement], which now looks likely to shape or even lead the next government.”
12. FIFTH CIRCUIT STRIKES DOWN ATF BAN ON BUMP STOCKS: The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the ATF overstepped its authority by banning bump stocks via bureaucratic fiat. Michael Cargill, who won the case, said, “We’re taking it to the Department of Justice because they’re coming after AR pistols, they’re coming after Sig braces, they’re trying to get triggers, they’re trying to get everything.”
13. ILLINOIS SHERIFF REFUSES TO ENFORCE GUN CRACKDOWN BILL: Edwards County Sheriff Darby Boewe responded to a semiautomatic rifle ban signed by Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker: “Part of my duties that I accepted upon being sworn into office was to protect the rights provided to all of us, in the Constitution. One of those rights enumerated is the right of the people to KEEP and BEAR ARMS provided under the 2nd Amendment. The right to keep and bear arms for defense of life, liberty, and property is regarded as an inalienable right by the people.”
